The Finest Catch, Henley in Arden 2/10/13

Another favourite of mine; The Finest Catch. I go here pretty regularly but haven't done a blog post for a while so I thought I could do a recent update on how its changed, if it has improved or got worse.

The restaurant is still very busy even more than a year later. Which is very unusual, as new restaurants usually are very busy at first then die down. The finest catch seems to kept up with the trade. It isn't surprising though as they always offer brilliant service-friendly and helpful, great food and excellent prices. This time didn't disappoint as usual, we went on a Wednesday evening, me with a few friends and we were actually lucky to get a table! The restaurant is laid out like an American diner and is always so clean and tidy.

Pomeroys, Kenilworth 30/09/13

This particular restaurant was one on my list of restaurants I want to try and tonight was the night. It's situated right in the middle of Kenilworth, Pomeroys so is a slight nightmare to park but luckily I found a pay & display car park behind the restaurant. The decor is very nice and modern. As its a bistro/bar its got a very young-feel and is very bright with high ceilings.

Fat Lil's, Witney 28/09/13

Mum, dad and I decided to have a day out in the Costwolds as we all love it there, after a walk round the shops we were very hungry and decided to find somewhere to have a late lunch. I researched on my phone, on Trip Advisor and looked up local restaurants near by that weren't too expensive. One stood out to be straight away as it had very good reviews and I loved the name, Fat Lil's

Edward Moon, Stratford 21/09/13

Mum and dad a while ago had been out in Stratford with my aunties and uncles who are vegetarian and gluten free, therefore finding a restaurant wasn't the easiest, but dad researched and came across Edward Moon which offer a whole gluten free menu so they went and all loved it. This particular Saturday we went out for a family day and decided to go to Edward Moon for a late lunch.

Giovanni's & Mortons, Dickens Heath 18/09/13

I have always wanted to try Giovanni's in Dickens Heath as it's had brilliant reviews and when I've drove past it in the past it's always seemed busy. It's a cute, authentic old fashioned Italian family run restaurant. The inside is very homely-it almost seems like your eating inside an Italian family dinning room! The service was very good also, the waitress was attentive and the man (who I think was Giovanni) was very funny and friendly, he kept us entertained all night and was very sweet.

Homemade Dinner 16-17/09/13 Toad in the Hole & Fish Pie

I decided to cook twice this particular week as I enjoy it so much! I got my Toad in the Hole recipe from a Jamie Oliver's recipe

Bamboodle, Stratford 11/09/13

I'm still behind writing my restaurant blogs, so I'm trying to catch up. This particular restaurant; BamboodleI went to with Jayne & Sam. I had found it online and the menu looked so good and as it's only down the road in Stratford we thought we should definitely give it a try!

Home Cooked Salmon Fish Fingers with Pea Mash & Homemade Tartare Sauce 9/09/13

This is a slightly different post as I'm talking about a meal I cooked myself at home for mum, dad and me. I've got really into cooking and enjoy it so this particular night I decided to cook again. I found this recipe on Jamie Oliver's app on my phone and it stood out to me as I find salmon quite boring usually but I thought this might jazz up salmon a bit and it was an experiment for me as I have never made anything like this before.

Crust, Shirley 4/09/13

September is here and this is the first restaurant I visited in September; Crust after my friend, Jayne mentioned is as she always wanted to try it so a group of 6 of us went for a meal. I booked a table, which was lucky as it was SO busy. It's recently opened so therefore it's popular and after eating there I can see why. The restaurant is upstairs and there aren't many tables but it's got a very young vibe in there, it's got writing on one wall and wooden bench like tables- it reminds me of an American restaurant and the menu is very good, loads of choice and they even offer Man VS Crust challenges where if you manage to eat their particular dishes you get your picture on their wall of fame and get your meal for free.

The Three Horseshoes, Hemel Hempstead 29/08/13

This is the second restaurant we visited with our American friends, we went to London for the day and then met our friends back in Hemel for dinner, my dads friend recommended this place as it was a lovely day and its right by the canal. The Three Horsehoes. As you can see, its a very pretty pub with beautiful surroundings and inside the pub is just as you expect it to be, old with beams everywhere.
