The Finest Catch, Henley in Arden 2/10/13

Another favourite of mine; The Finest Catch. I go here pretty regularly but haven't done a blog post for a while so I thought I could do a recent update on how its changed, if it has improved or got worse.

The restaurant is still very busy even more than a year later. Which is very unusual, as new restaurants usually are very busy at first then die down. The finest catch seems to kept up with the trade. It isn't surprising though as they always offer brilliant service-friendly and helpful, great food and excellent prices. This time didn't disappoint as usual, we went on a Wednesday evening, me with a few friends and we were actually lucky to get a table! The restaurant is laid out like an American diner and is always so clean and tidy.

The menu has slightly changed since last time with a few more options than before. The prices have changed also, with the meals slightly more expensive than normal. The smaller meals are now £6 and the larger meals £7.50, which is still incredibly reasonably priced and the value for money is incredible. The portion sizes are still so big, even the smaller meals. I can never manage the bigger meals!

The batter is perfect, so crispy but not greasy at all with very fresh fish. The chips again, perfectly cooked-soft and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Not greasy and over cooked like a lot of fish & chip takeaways.

To conclude, the restaurant is just as good as it always has been, the service is better than top class and the food has remained just as delicious. Yes, the prices might have gone up slightly but it really is worth every penny and I would continue to go time after time!
