Marco Pierre White, London 28/02/15

This was one restaurant I was very excited about, for Christmas I bought my best friend, Jayne a weekend away in London and included in that was a three course meal at Marco Pierre White's Steak & Ale House restaurant in Bishopsgate. We were very excited as I have heard very good things about this place. 

It was good from the offset, there are two locations of this restaurant: Bishopsgate and Chelsea - we accidentally got the tube to the wrong one, so we rang the main switchboard and they were so helpful, they managed to get us swapped over to the restaurant in the location where we were - I thought this was amazing of them and such a lovely thing to do and we were only round the corner, so it was perfectly convenient! 

The location is down a very quiet street and almost off the beaten track slightly but it looks smart and modern from the outside and we were very excited to get in and eat!

Shake Shack, London - Covent Garden 28/02/15

This is one post I'm very excited about - I have been wanting to try this place for months! I've seen so much about it on Instagram and Twitter and as we know, burgers are my favourite! The Shake Shack first came to England from across the pond July 2013, its located in Covent Garden. It's become so popular and I've been dying to try it! They use 100% Angus Beef - the menu isn't massive but you can have many variations of a Burger or Hot Dog - you make it specific to your wants. They also have a funky milkshake menu and offer Frozen Custard - yes you heard that correctly, Frozen Custard. Which they offer in many different flavours. I'm gonna get on the important bit now … the food!

Café Rouge, Solihull 25/02/15

I was in-between jobs and therefore had some time off, what a perfect opportunity to go for lunch with my mum. This time we decided on Cafe Rouge - an all time favourite of mine. We went to the Solihull one as its fairly local. I always like the food here, the serve French cuisine all day and usually have a very good lunch time offer. I don't usually rate chain restaurants but this one is usually very good and I hoped this time would be the same!

I love the interior inside the Cafe Rouge restaurants, this particular day was actually very busy, surprising for a week day but we managed to get a table promptly, however the quick service didn't last too long…

The Real China, Redditch 16/02/15

The Real China is a Chinese Buffet chain, they have restaurants all round the country but fairly recently one opened in Redditch inside The Kingfisher. They offer Starters, Grills, Main Courses and Desserts. Its a fairly small buffet but it had enough choice and as its Redditch, its never overly busy which is nice. Its incredibly good value too - £10 for all you can eat, even at the weekends. It's located inside The Kingfisher shopping centre, next door to Nandos. This my first visit and I was looking forward to trying it as I love Chinese food!

Prezzo, Stratford-upon-Avon 12/02/15

Me, mum and dad went on a Thursday evening to the Prezzo in Stratford, I hadn't been to this particular Prezzo before so was looking forward to trying it. The food is usually very good, but service can be lacking - however,  I was presently surprised with this one, it was very good from the outset and continued this high quality throughout the meal.

The restaurant itself is very light, bright and airy and has a good atmosphere, its tidy and clean with all the tables laid out nicely. The restaurant has a good ambiance, with dim lights and background music.

Hard Rock Cafe, Manchester 07/02/15

Now, this a restaurant everyone has heard of! The Hard Rock Cafe - this chain of American restaurants have been around since 1971. Currently, there are 191 Hard Rock locations in 59 countries including 145 cafes, 21 hotels and 10 casinos. I love the atmosphere in these restaurants, the cocktails are so good. We decided to eat here before going to watch Peter Kay in Manchester as it was near the arena. As always, it was very busy and full of people eating and drinking with loud music playing and memorabilia on all the walls. We were starving and wanted a really good meal, we were not disappointed! 

Coventry Oak, Coventry 06/02/15

Coventry Oak in Coventry is part of The Flaming Grill chain, a typical pub-stlye atmosphere. The outside and car park area isn't overly attractive but as soon as you walk in the pub gives the first impressions of a typical family restaurant. Cheap and cheerful. It was huge, very busy and full of atmosphere. 

It was very busy with lots of families eating. having a drink and everyone seemed to be having a good time. We had to find our own table, its an order at the bar type of restaurant. Which is what you expect from a cheap place. The one thing I would say is, seeing as its not a waitress service style there should be a few more team members on the bar, as it was quite slow getting our drinks and food orders taken. 

Peachy Keens, Birmingham, 29/01/15

Last week I was given the opportunity to visit Peachy Keens in Birmingham. It is a mulch-cuisine buffet. They offer Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Portuguese, Italian and Indian. With arrays of freshly prepared salads, starters, authentic main courses, live cooking and yummy desserts. There is something for everyone at Peachy Keens. 

The place itself is very bright and fun looking as soon as you walk in. 

 Buffets have become very popular over the last couple of years and as the purse strings tighten, they are brilliant value. Peachy Keens is £6.99 at lunch time Monday-Friday, £9.99 lunch time on a Saturday. Then, at the weekend it's £12.00 Monday-Thursday and £14.99 Friday & Saturday. Where else can you go and get 6 different cuisines in one place for that price?!  

Coast 2 Coast, Solihull, 01/02/15

Another review, I'm spoiling you guys today! This time another favourite of mine - Coast to Coast in Solihull but this time for breakfast.  It's an American restaurant/bar. 

They serve breakfast from 9am which is good and they have a wide variety of choice from, traditional breakfasts to healthy choices.
