Another favourite of mine, I hadn't been in a while and after the cinema seeing as its opposite in Touchwood, Solihull. I went for a late lunch. This place never fails to disappoint me and I was SO hungry! The service is very good, you get greeted at the door and shown to a table, given menus and a table number. The only let down is that you have to order at the bar-slightly inconvenient but its only because I'm lazy ha! The menu, as ever was as good as it always has been, they have so many different choices of burgers from chicken, beef lamb and veggie with so many different combinations.
I noticed they now offer 'stuffed burgers' and 'sliders.' I decided to try something a bit different as I usually stick to the same kind of burgers when I eat here. I decided to try the Sliders-3 mini burgers of either beef or chicken. I decided to go for chicken for a change as I always go for beef burgers.
Chicken Burgers:
Sweet Chilli Chicken
Chicken, Cheese & Bacon
Smokey BBQ Chicken
£9.95
We ordered a side of chips and onion rings to go with the burgers, you definitely only need one side betweeen 2 or even 3 as the sides are huge, as you can see you get a massive bowl of chips for £3.15 and loads of onion rings for £3.15. Very reasonable prices I think for the price and you certainly get a lot of food! The burgers are also massive, even the 3 mini burgers were big enough, I couldn't even manage them all. Sorry about the terrible pictures, its very dark in their and therefore pictures are rubbish! The burgers were SO tasty, they are served on mini brioche buns, which is quite unusual as they are very different to normal burger buns, they are thicker and have a very different texture, they taste very good though and surprisingly go very well with the meat and different fillings-I usually see brioche as a sweet snack but they worked very well. Each burger was as yummy as the last-the chicken is char-grilled and therefore has a nice charred texture to each chicken breast. Each burger is filled with lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo-so pretty standard to usual burgers but its the sauces and other extra fillings that make these burgers special to usual burger places. The sweet chilli chicken (far right) was very tasty, it was the normal chicken breast with the salad filling but covered in sweet chilli sauce-but luckily it wasn't too much which therefore didn't make it too spicy, always a good thing when I'm eating! The chicken cheese & bacon (left) was probably my favourite as those combinations go very well together and the bacon was cooked very well done which is how I like it! Very tasty burger indeed. The smokey BBQ chicken (middle) was very very tasty, handmade burger companies BBQ sauce isn't like usual BBQ sauce, its thick and has lumps of BBQ sauce in the sauce so therefore it isn't like runny sauce, which makes the taste very different. It looks almost like Branston Pickle but tastes exactly like BBQ-its very tasty and goes so well with the chicken but I think I prefer smooth BBQ sauce. But all three burgers were incredibly tasty and their chips are very fresh and not soggy at all, they are exactly like fish and chip shop chips-but they aren't greasy. The onion rings are also very good, crispy and cooked perfectly. YUM! Lovely meal and didn't disappoint-once again. A favourite of mine and I would continue to go back again and again.
