The White Swan, Henley-in-Arden, 25/07/14

This is a restaurant I haven't been to in agggges. My mum, my boyfriend Tom and I decided to go one Friday evening seeing as I live next door- I haven't got far to go! The White Swan is very old - ACCORDING to this famous old hotel’s website, the first inn on the site dates back to 1352. The White Swan itself was first documented in 1358 and the current building was erected between 1550 and 1565. Quite possibly, then, William Shakespeare could have popped in.

The inside is lovely and calming. We sat at the back of the restaurant as the bar was very busy. The menu has a lot of variety- they do normal meals ranging from about £11-£18 and then they offer a Spanish Tapas menu with lots of little dishes. They offer so many different types of Tapas from fish to meat to vegetarian- there really is something to suit everyone

As it was such a hot day we decided to get lots of little Tapas bites and share as none of us were starving hungry.

I didn't get a photo of each indivudlal Tapas but here's a few:

 GAMBAS AL AJILLO £5.25
Sizzling king prawns cooked in garlic olive oil

Whitebait £4.25
Served with tartare sauce

CHAMPINONES AL AJILLO £2.95
Mushrooms lightly sautéed in garlic olive oil

Tomatoes £2.25
Cherry tomatoes with feta marinated in Olive Oil

Garlic Bread £2.25
With cheese or without.

We had a few other bits too and a couple of bowls of chips to go with it! Each dish was beautiful- so tasty and flavoursome. Perfect for a summer night. The prawns were cooked so well and the garlic oil was delicious! Over all, a very good meal and would definitely go back!
